Now what

After a very emotional three weeks, with the loss of my dad and my brother’s son, I am back in the office trying to bring some measure of focus back to the book project. In thinking about where to go from here I have made a strategic decision about how to end the book. Even though the last few weeks have been challenging on a level that is difficult to describe, it has also provided a perfect illustration of what I spent the previous 30 days writing about. Amazing actually! So, I have decided to write an epilogue to the book. I will chronicle the various ways where God – by means of his Spirit and through the kindness of his people – met me in the ways I needed him most. As you think about it, you might pray for the grace to say/write it well.

In awe...

I'm in Florida where my mother, brothers and sister are remembering my father who lived (and died) with no regrets... Couldn't be prouder. Thank you for your prayers and well-wishes. We are absolutely overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and kindness we have witnessed. I'm truly speechless and that doesn't happen often. I've spent the last 30 days espousing the glory of community; I am now awed (all over again) by the experience of it...

Finished with the book!

I'm FINISHED!!! For any of you that are interested in following my progress with the book from here on out, you can follow along on twitter at https://twitter.com/pietvanwaarde. As many of you now, I am a tad technologically challenged so please be patient with me as I try to navigate this world that "twits" or is it "tweets"? Twit or tweet - not sure it matters... O brother... GEEK!
